April Road Trip – Buhler, KS

I’ve been waiting until today to make a decision on the April ride to see if the forecast was going to improve for Saturday. It hasn’t. It’s calling for a high of 49 with 90% chance of rain and those conditions do NOT make for a good ride day. However…our cars have windshield wipers and heaters so I say let’s caravan our way to Buhler! Because it’ll be more fun to see our tutu’s flying in the wind, Tutu Day has been postponed until the May ride. We’ll be dining at the First Lady Tea Room in Abilene so dressing up all fancy like in tutus seems totally appropriate.

Let me know if you are willing to drive and how many you can fit in your vehicle. The meeting location and time remain the same.

If the forecast all of a sudden makes a big improvement tomorrow, we’ll go back to Plan A and I’ll make an announcement. I figured we better have at least have a Plan B in the works.

Meeting Location:  The QuikTrip in Park City at Highway 135 and 61st St.

Meeting Time:  9:30 a.m. with departure at 10:00 a.m.

Lunch:  The Mustard Seed.  We will also browse through the wonderful antique and gift shops in the area.   After we return to Wichita, if you are available, we are going to Sgt. C’s to attend the Grand Opening of their new location.  The end time for this Event includes the stop at Sgt. C’s.  We will return to Wichita before 4:00.

Distance:  48 miles one way from Park City.

What you need to bring:  Any shirts you want to have Kittified and cash for the 50/50 drawing (6 tickets for $5.00.)

What I will bring:  A selection of bandanas, patches and pins.  I MIGHT have the Road Name patches, but I’m not sure if they will be ready in time.

RSVPs due by Thursday, April 19th.

Hope to see you there for the opening Kitty Ride of our 14th season!
