2025 Christmas Party and Awards Celebration
The Kitties annual Christmas Party and Awards Ceremony was memorable as always! Good food, good friends, annual awards, crazy outfits, and a wacky gift exchange game rounded out the last official event of the calendar year.
The final Krome Kitty event in 2025 is our Christmas Party. This year it was decided to present all of the awards for the year, including acknowledging membership anniversaries. Our holiday hostess Linda “Lily” and her husband Mark, opened their home to all the festivities. As we have come to expect, their home is like something out of a magazine. It would be impossible not to be in the Christmas mood after an evening there. Thank you both for making everyone feel completely at home and part of a great, big, happy family!
Special thanks to Kristi & Susan for all the work they put in to make this a really fun party. Dinner consisted of a few varieties of chili, a side of baked potatoes (which were perfectly done in spite of them trying hard not to be – what’s a party without some stress?) with all the fixings, cornbread and some wonderful desserts to finish it off. Thank you to all who contributed to the fabulous menu, everything was delicious!
I also want to personally thank all of you who took so many great photos! Even if there were only a few, it’s great to get a little something from so many different perspectives (like Jessica’s photos from outside looking into the window – so cool!). Our main photographer, Stephanie, was doing double duty, taking photos and making sure her beautifully designed calendars made it to each person who ordered one. Our other shutter bugs are: Jessica, Beth, Christine, Janice, Sheryl, Susan, Linda “Lily”, Alice, Angel and Stella. Many of these ladies were also pulling double duty, your efforts are so appreciated!
A fun twist this year was a dress code challenge. There were five fun categories to vote on. Kristi made the cutest little ballots and had pens ready to make the voting process smooth and efficient.
The Ugliest
The Most Unhinged
The Cutest
The Most Spirited
The Most Christmasy
The winners will be revealed in the photos. There were so many cute and clever outfits. It was hard to pick just one on the last three categories. I think the first two categories were pretty easily decided.
Alice presented a gift of appreciation from the club to Linda “Lily” for opening her home to all of us. She then announced the three Kitties who had purrfect attendance riding in each ride this year.
Christine was next to make her presentation. She passed out “Advice from a Krome Kitty” book marks to each of us. She then presented the anniversary awards to four Kitties. Two who have been members for five years, one who has been a member for ten years and lastly, one who has been a member for twenty years!
Dawn presented the final group of awards for the night, the Challenge Ride patches. There were eight Kitties who completed the 2025 College Days Challenge. You had to ride to a list of 21 different colleges/universities anytime between April 1 and October 31st. You had to get a photo that included yourself, your motorcycle and the signage of each college/university on the list. Again, the winners will be listed in the photos!
When the awards were concluded and before we started eating, there was a very green party crasher. They wore a festive suit with a Krome Kitty twist. Everyone was thrilled to pose with them too! You’ll have to continue to the photos to see who it was.
We all ate and visited and thoroughly enjoyed our time together. Once the meal was finished it was time for the gift exchange. The gift exchange was called a Santa Toss. It was a really great idea. White elephant exchanges where gifts can be stolen, can sometimes feel…not so nice. This was great. Nobody had a clue what they were getting, the only thing was to be sure you didn’t end up with your own gift at the end. Super questions that determined who stood up to “toss” their gift to someone else.
That about sums it up. We missed those of you who couldn’t attend. It was great spending the evening to
gether with those \who could. Until next time, wishing you all of all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.
