Where do the Krome Kitties ride?
The Krome Kitties Motorcycle Club (KKMC) hosts scheduled rides, or “Road Trips,” once a month during the riding season, which runs from April through October. Road Trip destinations are planned at the beginning of the season by the Excursion Kitty (or Kitties).
How long are the rides?
Our monthly Road Trips typically last four to six hours, depending on the destination. We include necessary stops for fuel along the way.
How will I know when and where to meet for the rides?
Before the riding season begins, an email is sent to all members with the Road Trip schedule as determined by the Excursion Kitty (or Kitties). Approximately two weeks before each ride, an event is created on our private KKMC Facebook page, detailing the meeting time, location, and other trip information. These details are also posted on the Members-Only Events page of our website. Members should arrive 30 minutes before departure with their bikes fueled and in good working condition.
What other activities does KKMC do?
Every month during the riding season, the KKMC Event Kitties will host a Meow Mixer. Mixers are scheduled to not interfere with rides, and may be anything from meeting for dinner to going to a show or gathering for an activity on a weekend afternoon. During the winter months, the Event Kitties will continue to schedule monthly activities to help the Kitties stay in touch. Some annual events include a November Soup Potluck, and a Christmas Party. These are a great way to get to know your Kitty sisters!
Does the KKMC support a charitable organization
Yes, KKMC proudly supports AA Place for Dogs, an organization that provides care for pets while their owners undergo in-patient treatment for drug or alcohol recovery. Each year, the charity we support is chosen during the annual Kitty Konference typically held in February.
Does KKMC sell shirts for members to wear?
Absolutely! Members can shop for logoed merchandise in our on-line store accessed through KKMC.org
All members are required to wear a KKMC shirt during rides and at official Club events. New members should order their shirts as soon as possible. In the meantime, new members can borrow shirts from the “Kitty Kloset,” which contains donated shirts from other members.
Are there membership dues to belong to KKMC?
Yes, annual membership dues are $40.00, payable when submitting your application and due by April 1, thereafter. The Club Treasurer notifies members of acceptable payment methods each March for the upcoming season. If you join in September, dues are prorated. Memberships started in October or later require full payment of $40.00, which will apply to the following year.
I can’t wait to join KKMC. How can I become a Kitty?
Joining is simple! Complete the Membership Application. Dues can be paid via Venmo, cash, or check. Applications will be processed once payment is received.
